Writing query letters and submitting work for publication is always nerve wracking.

But I keep telling myself the worst thing that could happen is that they decide not to publish my work.  Which isn’t all that terrible.

"I remember one morning getting up at dawn, there was such a sense of possibility. You know, that feeling? And I remember thinking to myself: So, this is the beginning of happiness. This is where it starts. And of course there will always be more. It never occurred to me it wasn’t the beginning. It was happiness. It was the moment. Right then."
— Clarissa Vaughan, The Hours (2002)

Personally, that’s how I format my documents, not because I was trained on a typewriter, but because that’s how MLA used to be in school.  It changed after my first year of college, but I never bothered to make the correction and my professors never held it against me.

What photo editing/design software do you use?

I’m looking for something relatively easy to use and I don’t need 8 million bells and whistles (photoshop, I’m looking at you).  So if you’re one of those cool Tumblr cats that makes those awesome graphics, I’d love to hear what program(s) you use and recommend. :)

I think I've been brought up very well by both my parents. I am very cautious and I think I'm now fit for the world I'm in. They're very much behind my modelling and very supportive.
